Description
In this challenge, master's students do an internship for a health or societal organization (flexibly construed), with a focus on communication. With their concurrent training and guidance by professors from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, they can help your organization address its communicative goals.
✅ Key features of the challenge
- Program: MA in Dialogue, Health & Society (a track within the Communication and Information Studies program)
- Course: Internship: Researching and facilitating dialogue
- Students per team: teams of 2-4 students (out of ~20 students total)
- No. of hours spent per team: 20 work days per student (160 hours)
- Duration: February through May
- Supervision: Student teams are supervised and guided by senior lecturers.
- Deliverables: Report with recommendations.
- Company time investment: 8-12 hours in total (e.g. kick-off meeting, weekly meetings, final presentation, etc.)
- Costs: None

The student teams can work on challenges like, but not limited to, the following:
- Monitoring, describing, and improving dialogues with internal and external stakeholders through targeted research projects
- Assistance in launching your organizations new initiatives
- Comprehensive operation of your social media accounts
🏢 Company requirement
- Any organization that is focused on health and/or societally relevant matters (such as sustainability, policing, public science, etc.)
- Other organizations with whom we regularly partner include: RIVM, GGD Amsterdam, Controle Alt Delete, Athena Institute, Trimbos, UMC Amsterdam neonatal unit, Youth Healthcare Doctors, de Posten, among others

No costs are associated with the internship for the organization
