  • No. of hours spent per team: 170 hours
  • Course: AI in the Professional Workfield
  • Program: Master Artificial Intelligence

  • Company time investment: 8-12 hours
  • Matching fee: €850,- (ex tax, charged by Master Challenge (NOT the university)).

📑 Challenge Examples

The student teams can work on challenges that require AI techniques to come up with a solution. Examples of challenges that students worked on in previous years:

  • AI in healthcare
  • Pattern Detection and Classification
  • Automatic subject indexing
  • Visual place recognition for image retrieval
  • Neurotechnology and healthcare

And a few concrete examples from last year:

  • Help us identify interesting side effect reports using a prediction model with NLP
  • Recognizing intermediate company profiles using vacancy text
  • Can A.I. create more human friendly doctor schedules?
  • Help us understand and predict the energy consumption of all Dutch houses

But any challenge that requires the application of AI techniques to be solved is most likely suitable.
